Digital cash is applicable for exchange for goods and services, but only from those sellers who agree to accept it. Conversion occurs through online exchange services.

Developed in 2009, Bitcoin is currently one of the most promising options on the market. In 2020, its price increased by more than 50% and exceeded the one million ruble mark. System protection is based on a cryptographic method, with all transactions available in clear text. Data is recorded in the form of a linked chain of time-stamped blocks (blockchains), each of which contains information about the previous one. Blockchain provides proof that events occurred in a certain order.

Why Ether?

Ethereum is a blockchain-based currency and platform that allows you to create decentralized applications. They do not require a central server to operate, and users can interact directly. The current cost of one “ether” reaches 57 thousand rubles.

Tether is almost like a dollar

Tether has been issued by Tether Limited since 2015 and is pegged to the US dollar exchange rate, but, according to the developers, it is not subject to such strong fluctuations as the rates of other digital currencies. As of the beginning of June, the price per unit is 57 rubles.

New era of blockchain – Ripple, Litecoin, Chainlink.

XRP – developed in 2012 by Ripple. The network is decentralized and can operate without the participation of a company, which is a definite advantage compared to Bitcoin, which is why Korean and Japanese banks are interested in using it for international payments. The cost of 1 XRP is currently about 20 rubles.
Chainlink – released in 2017, and since 2019 has been used by Google to develop hybrid blockchain applications; there is information about the planned implementation of this currency in the Chinese state information center.
Litecoin – created in 2011, is similar to the name Bitcoin and is characterized by only minor differences from the latter. However, it has the ability to receive confirmation of transactions four times faster than on Bitcoin. Sold at a price of about 2,964 rubles.
Initially, electronic cash was accepted only in shadow online markets, but now it has become a full-fledged currency. Moreover, the cryptocurrency market has reached an all-time high of $60 billion.
